FAQs About Hotel Accomodations

-Can I put my points or rewards on my reservation?  Yes, there is a place to do that when you book through the link AND if you miss it you can do it at the hotel.  You will earn your rewards.
-Why do I have to put a deposit down? When, you book this big a block of rooms the hotel wants to see there is a financial commitment to the stay.
-Why do we have to book 2 weeks out? When you hold rooms at a hotel they want to have time to sell the ones that go unsold out of the group of rooms we have reserved.
-I found a cheaper rate online why can't I get that rate? Hotel rates are subject to change just as airline tickets are.  In most cases your room rate will be less expensive than what you can get on the hotels website (hilton.com, igh.com or marriott.com for example).  Also, third party groups like hotwire, expedia or others, don't guarantee the room type or will in some cases have no cancelation policies.
-I got my credit card statement and I had 2 charges for our stay?  Yes, one charge is the deposit and that will appear as "Hotel Accommodations Travel Ball" and the other will be the hotel you stayed at.  Both charges combined equal the total amount of your stay.
-If the tournament for us ends a day early can I get a refund for that last night? Yes, but you need to do it within the hotel guidelines for cancelation.  I would check with the hotel upon arrival to make sure you know exactly when you would have to cancel that last night to get it refunded.
-Why did the hotel only refund me a portion of the last night even though I canceled in time? You will have 2 charges appear on your credit card statement that will equal the total room night cost.  One from "Hotel Accommodations Travel Ball" and the other from the hotel.  It sometimes takes a billing cycle for your credit card to reflect the refund.

-I need to cancel because my son is hurt or we can't make it...how do I do that?  You can do all of that through your reservation link.  There are small fees attached to a complete cancellation depending on when you cancel ($7.50 to $30).  If you cancel within the hotel's cancellation policy (traditionally 72 hours prior to arrival) you will be charged one nights stay at the hotel.  Please read the hotel's cancellation policy on your reservation in advance.
